a V.A.'s BIO

Ms. Whitehurst has created four shorts, two of which were selected for presentation at the Dance Camera West Film Festival. She also created five other shorts for a UCS film program begun in 2002.
Thus far these projects have veered on the side of physical movement and soundscape. Ms. Whitehurst is presently editing her current work, titled "Question&Answer," which includes a script, actors and stop-motion.

A CHOREOGRAPHER'S BIO
As an undergraduate at Stanford University Ms. Whitehurst co-created and directed a dance-theatre group called Bent Spoon Modern Dance Company. She also completed one year of MFA graduate work at the California Institute of the Arts in Dance/Choreography. Last year Ms. Whitehurst performed and toured internationally with Diavolo Dance Theatre, for whom she choreographed a solo piece. She has presented choreographic work in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin, the American College Dance Festival and the Dance Camera West Festival.
